Thrash Metal bands

Thrash metal arrived in the early 1980s, when bands took the speed of punk and the twin guitars of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and played them harder and faster. Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax led the American scene, while Kreator, Sodom and Destruction did the same in Germany. Fast riffs, shouted vocals and circle pits have never gone out of style.

These are the thrash metal bands on Metal TV, from veterans of the underground to new bands keeping the old-school sound alive. Watch their videos, find their latest releases and gigs, and see who is topping this week's chart.
