Sludge and Post-Metal bands

Sludge metal mixes doom's slow, heavy riffs with the noise and anger of hardcore punk. It grew out of the Melvins and the New Orleans scene of Eyehategod and Crowbar, and it is thick, abrasive and often bleak. Post-metal grew from the same roots into something more expansive, with bands like Neurosis and Isis building long, layered songs that rise and fall like weather.

This page brings together the sludge and post-metal bands on Metal TV. Discover heavy, atmospheric music from the underground, watch the music videos, find new releases and upcoming shows, and request a song for everyone watching.
