Death / Metalcore from Croatia
Dead Within are a melodic death metal band from Zadar, Croatia. They started in 2005 as a Children of Bodom tribute band and soon began writing songs of their own, released on the four-song demo So It Begins in 2007, before a change of direction and lineup clashes split them up. In 2022 singer and guitarist Frane Kršlović brought Dead Within back with a new lineup. Four new songs came out in 2023, then in December 2024 the debut album King Poison: eight songs about inner struggles and life, with Vicente Ferreira on the mix and master. Old Soul became their first music video in 2024, and Godless followed at the end of 2025. They have played across Croatia since, from Zagreb to Split and their home town. Dead Within are Frane Kršlović (vocals, rhythm guitar), Josip Božanić (lead guitar), Marko Bilić Māra (bass) and Daniel Zolotić (drums).
