About

The creation of Zero Point dates back to January 2006 when Yannick (guitar), Scafe (guitar/vocals) and Aleks (drums) decided to start a band influenced by melodic Death and Trash. Called Vacuum at the time, the band is completed in July 2006, thanks to the arrival of Valérie (vocals) and Olivier (bass), which allowed the band to start performing live in various halls with both regional and national bands. After some problems with their name, the members decided to change from Vacuum to Zero Point and published their first 8-track maxi called "Corrosive" in March 2008. It was favourably welcomed by webzines critiques. In June 2008, Valerie left the band for professional reasons and was briefly replaced by Amandine, before she split off a few months later. It was after that separation that the group came to a major turning point, as in October 2008, Scafe gave up the guitar to focus solely on vocals, and Romain (Narval, ex-Abstract Agony) became the new rhythm guitarist and thus completing the new face of Zero Point.
