About
Suffercation was one of Malaysia's first death metal bands to release an album (1992's "Day of Darkness"). The band formerly resided in Pasir Mas, Kelantan under the name Suffocation. They changed their name to Suffercation in 1991 and moved to Kuala Lumpur to join the emerging metal scene. Between 1998-2000, Suffercation's sound changed to heavy metal/hard rock, and generally more radio-friendly, in hopes of receiving commercial success. They released two albums, "Pendekar", and "Realiti Karisma Abadi" with their new sound, which received criticism from both the local mainstream and underground scene. At that point they changed the band name to Tuah, releasing an album under that moniker before disbanding. Suffercation was then revived in 2007 with their old Death Metal concept of the early 1990s. Additional discography: - "Day of Darkness" 1992 demo - recorded in early 1992 and given to Valentine Sound Productions to secure a record deal; this is now lost.
