Shown in the image from left to right are members: H., Fix, ( ), 1853, B, Kral, LR. In an interview with HMHTV, B stated that Lifelover was formed in June 2005. The band performed a concert in B's memory on September 11th, 2011, two days after his passing. They announced that this was their last show under the Lifelover moniker and they will lay the band to rest out of respect to B since he was "the main composer" in the band. However, they also played two other memorial shows in October, on the 14th in Essen, Germany, and on the 15th in Lipomo, Italy, on the same year. In September 2012, founding member Kim along with former Lifelover band members Henrik, Fix and P. chose to continue the band's memory by founding another project known as Kall. In order to celebrate Lifelover's 10th anniversary and in B.'s memory, Kim and other members from Kall played some shows in the second half of 2015 under the Lifelover name, but confirmed that no new recordings as Lifelover will ever be created again. For Lifelover's 20th anniversary, the concerts were announced as "Kall perform Lifelover" and "Kall plays Lifelover" by the festivals, but also as just Lifelover shows on some sites linked to by the band. While Lifelover's consistent genre has always been depressive black metal, the band would always cross the genre with other influences including post-punk, pop, death metal, progressive rock, doom metal, and dark ambient. The Dekadens EP is the only Lifelover record not to feature a drum machine. Non was the drummer who played on it.
